I’ve been doing web development for over 15 years. In that time I’ve learned at least one thing I’m confident of: Computers make terrible coworkers.
They’re always right - and so pedantic! I strive to be a better colleague by being right only ~80%
of the time, and focusing on listening skills and curiosity to determine when I might be
missing the point (unlike computers… jerks). In a world where software
is almost never “finished”, and relies on invaluable human hours to maintain sustinable growth
alongside the environment in which it exists, I like to focus on a process that supports all
the humans involved (from users to support agents to engineers) first and foremost.
